Yesterday in class we researched different resources online that may be helpful to teachers or students. I had the opportunity to learn about Del.icio.us, a social bookmarking website, and Rollyo, a custom search engine creator. Below are some of the functions of each, and I hope this is helpful to someone!
Del.icio.us (social bookmarking)
-Save bookmarks and access them from anywhere online
-Share them by email address or to Twitter users and see what others are bookmarking
-See popular bookmarked websites
-Search bookmarks
-Tag your bookmark collection with descriptive tags
Rollyo (custom search engine)
-Choose sites you want to search and create custom search engine (searchrolls)
-Share your searchrolls
-Search latest news in your trusted websites
-Integrate your Rollyo search into your browser
